Sung-Eun Ryu is a pianist from South Korea who began studying at the age of five. She graduated with honors as summa cum laude from Delta State University with a Bachelor of Music degree in piano performance.  

She won first place in the Mississippi Music Teachers’ Association Competition in 2016 and she represented Mississippi in the Music Teachers’ National Association Competitions in 2018 in Virginia. She was selected to perform at the Honors’ Recital at Delta State University three times. She is also a member of Pi Kappa Lambda, a music honors’ society that is based on invitation only.

Ms. Ryu is an experienced accompanist, and she has accompanied choirs, wind ensemble, opera, musicals, and church choirs. She has studied various repertoire and has performed in solo recitals and in chamber ensembles in South Korea and America. Also, she has participated in the Art of the Piano, DSU Piano Preparatory, and Music Teacher Association Conference in Mississippi and has been teaching private lessons and at piano academies. 

Ms. Ryu is currently studying with Dr. Raffi Besalyan and is working as a teaching assistant at Georgia State University.
