Yi-Fan Wu received her master’s degree with highest honor in piano performance at the Sun Yat-Sen University in Taiwan. In 2011, she received a full scholarship and started her PhD in Music Theory at the University of Cincinnati. Also she received two stipends for being a teaching assistant for freshmen’s music theory lessons and piano accompanist for Viola Studio. She has performed and instructed various levels in both Taiwan and the US.
She is also an enthusiastic piano educator and has presented recitals and master classes in Taiwan. Meanwhile, she is also invited to be a director of music program in I-Shou International School for six years. She directes many brilliant music events and holds many musical conferences. Yi-Fan is also a very active piano accompanist, has more than hundreds times of being a piano accompanist for different instruments’ recital experiences.
As for her own performance, she has been praised for her unique and elegant interpretation of music. She has been invited several times to give piano master classes for music summer camp held by Wyoming Seminary International School in New York. Also, she received very good reputation in Adult Piano Seminar in Colorado.
Yi-Fan’s students, although young, have shined at many piano competitions and auditions. Her passion in teaching and performing is a great addition to this wonderful community in northern Georgia.
