A virtuoso flute player, Jovana Damnjanović has won prizes in many flute competitions. The most recently, she was the prize winner of the Flutissimo Young Artist Competition, the San Diego Flute Guild, the Midsouth Young Artist Competition, the Raleigh Area Flute Association Young Artist competition, and the Brumby Concerto Competition.
Miss Damnjanović is currently pursuing her DMA degree at the University of Georgia with professor Angela Jones-Reus. A native of Serbia, Miss Damnjanović graduated in Flute Performance Master degree from the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad with Honors of Musical Arts. She studied with Professor Laura Levai Aksin during her studies at the AUNS. Miss Damnjanović also holds her second Master degree in Flute Performance from Georgia State University where she studied with Professor Sarah Kruser Ambrose. In 2014, Miss Damnjanović was offered a scholarship to attend the Universität für Musik and darstellende Kunst International Summer Academy in Vienna which allowed her to study with Kersten McKall and Felix Renggli.

While in Serbia, Miss Damnjanović collaborated with the pianist Dunja Crnjanski to have a duo ensemble which held numerous notable performances at the Serbian Academy of Science and Arts, A Fest and Shumann Fest. An active chamber musician, Jovana is a member of Damnjanovich & Padovan flute and piano duo, flute and euphonium duo Novi and Atlanta based “International Counterpoint” woodwind trio, and the Cortona Sessions for New Music in Cortona, Italy. Besides her regular ensembles, Miss Damnjanović has performed with the Bent Frequency, the Chamber Cartel, the Atlanta Chamber Winds, the Atlanta Chamber Collective and the Flûture flute quartet.
Regular attending masterclasses all over the Europe has given Miss Damnjanović the opportunities to work with some of the most distinguished flutists, such as Emmanuel Pahud, Michael Hasel, Patrice Bocquillon, Dejan Gavrić, Norbert Girlinger, and Lior Eitan.
