William Pu Music Academy - Policies for 2021-2022

Tuition Policies

  • Payments are due by the end of the first week of each month. A $25 fee may be charged if payment is late.
  • A fee of $25 will be applied to any returned checks.
  • Tuition does not cover purchase of music books and supplies for individual students.
  • Tuition does not cover accompanist fees, room rental fees, or costs associated with Academy recitals and special events.
Rescheduling Lessons

If a WPMA faculty member needs to reschedule a lesson, an alternate lesson time will be found or, on the rare occasion that an alternative time cannot be found, a lesson credit will be issued. If a student has a schedule conflict, a reasonable effort will be made by the instructor to find an alternate lesson time. However, because the original lesson time has been reserved by the instructor solely for that student, the instructor will be compensated for the lesson if, after a reasonable effort has been made, an alternate lesson time cannot be found. If a lesson is canceled by the student within 6 hours of the scheduled start time, the lesson fee will not be refunded, and the instructor will be compensated.

Discontinuing Lessons

When students enroll for a weekly time slot at the William Pu Music Academy, the expectation is that they are committing to the full 18 weeks of the semester (August 1 through December 31 or January 1 through May 31). Tuition refunds will be provided on a prorated basis so long as a 30-day’s written notice is given to the William Pu Music Academy to terminate registration.

Liability Release

The parent(s)/guardian(s) of (1) any student registered with the William Pu Music Academy and (2) family members and guests, releases from liability and agrees to indemnify and hold harmless William Pu Music Academy (WPMA), any of the staffs, and instructors for any and all personal injuries and property losses or damage occasioned by or in connection with any activity related to WPMA.

This release applies to, and the parent(s)/guardian(s) agrees to indemnify WPMA from any consequences related to any injury that may be suffered by any of the children of the parent(s)/guardian(s), by the parent(s)/guardian(s), or by any other children or adults that the parent(s)/guardian(s) may bring or cause to be brought to academy at 310, 320, 330, and/or 340 Prospect Place, Alpharetta, GA 30005.

The parent(s)/guardian(s) further agrees to abide by all the rules and regulations set by WPMA, including but not limited to the requirement that all children in the charge of the parent(s)/guardian(s) who are not participating in lessons must be supervised directly by the parent(s)/guardian(s) at all times. Children climbing or playing on furniture, structures, or other items are doing so with the permission of the parent(s)/guardian(s).
