On Thursday, April 24, 2025, the Atlanta Festival Virtuosi Chamber Orchestra, under the direction and coaching of Music Director William Pu, had the distinct honor of performing at the Georgia State Capitol. This special invitation came from Dr. Michelle Au, Representative of House District 5.
The orchestra performed Grieg’s Holberg Suite, showcasing the ensemble’s musical refinement and artistry. The program also featured three outstanding young soloists from WPMA:
Ellie Kim (10th grade) and Hamin Yoo (9th grade) performed Sarasate’s Navarra, a brilliant and fiery violin duet.
Joshua Park (9th grade) delivered a sparkling performance of the final movement from Haydn’s Cello Concerto in C.
The students were thrilled to share their music in such a prestigious setting. With heartfelt thanks to Dr. Michelle Au for the invitation, and bravo to all the musicians for representing the next generation of musical excellence under the gold dome!
