Overview
The Atlanta Youth Orchestra is a premium youth ensemble whose mission is to provide high quality professional level instruction and performance opportunities for young musicians throughout metro Atlanta.  The 2017 AYO Summer Training Camp is an exceptional program modeled after some of the world’s most successful youth orchestras and will focus on the value of music education, inspiring world citizenship, and promoting peace through cultural exchange.

Program
Led by Maestro Michael Palmer, Conductor and Artistic Director, the AYO Summer Training Camp will provide each student with the opportunity to experience group orchestral instruction, sectionals, and coaching by some of the finest metro area professional musicians whom perform with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, the Atlanta Ballet, and the Atlanta Opera Orchestras. The camp culminates with a final concert performance on Saturday, August 5th.

Enrollment
The 2017 AYO Summer Training Camp will accept all all instruments and students age 13 years old and up who have had at least one year of instrument instruction.

Tuition and Fees
AYO Summer Training Camp is Monday, July 31 – Saturday, August 5, 2017. Campers are to report each day by 8:30pm, and dismissal will be at 4:00pm. Camp tuition is $375 (including all materials and T-shirt). Snacks and drinks are also provided, all students to provide their own bag lunch. Registration is still open. The full tuition amount $375 and a one-time $25 nonrefundable application fee which can be paid at www.atlantayouthorchestra.com (click here to pay) or mail a check to 340 Prospect Place, Alpharetta, GA 30005.
