2025 WPMA Showcase Day & Atlanta Festival Youth Orchestras Spring Concert – What A Day To Remember!

2025 WPMA Showcase Day + Atlanta Festival Youth Orchestras Spring Concert was held on Saturday, April 19, 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM!

What a day to remember! The 2025 WPMA Showcase Day and Atlanta Festival Youth Orchestras Spring Concert brought a full day of music, energy, and celebration to life. With eleven solo recitals and over 100 WPMA students sharing their hard work and passion, the atmosphere was filled with excitement and inspiration from morning until evening.

From 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, audiences enjoyed a come-and-go lineup of solo performances that highlighted the dedication and talent of our young musicians. Each student’s performance was a testament to their preparation and love for music.

In the afternoon, the Atlanta Festival Chamber Orchestra and  Atlanta Festival Symphony Orchestra took the stage, featuring powerful ensemble work and standout moments — including a stunning performance of Mozart’s Sinfonia Concertante for Violin, Viola, and Orchestra featuring WPMA students Olivia Wang (8th grade, violin) and Arsheya Singh (10th grade, viola).

The evening concluded with the highly anticipated WPMA Showcase Gala Concert, headlined by the Atlanta Festival Virtuosi Chamber Orchestra. The Virtuosi performed Grieg’s elegant and spirited Holberg Suite, and the program also featured:

– Ellie Kim (10th grade) & Hamin Yoo (9th grade) performing Sarasate’s “Navarra”, a fiery and virtuosic violin duet

– Joshua Park (9th grade) performing the final movement of Haydn’s Cello Concerto in C*, dazzling the audience with his brilliance and poise

The Gala Concert also included beautiful performances by WPMA students and faculty, two Cello Choirs, Faculty Soloists**, and the Faculty Chamber Music Ensemble – a powerful reminder of the community and excellence we strive to foster every day at WPMA.

We were especially proud to feature five WPMA student soloists performing alongside our youth orchestras – an unforgettable experience for everyone involved.

A heartfelt thank you to our amazing Administration Team, dedicated volunteers, inspiring teachers, hardworking students, supportive parents and families, and everyone in the WPMA community who came out to cheer on these incredible young performers.

Bravo to all – your artistry lit up the stage! 👍🏻🎻👏🏻🎶
