WPMA Viola Student Accepted To 2025 NYO2 – A Remarkable Achievement!

Congratulations to WPMA viola student, Arsheya Singh, on her acceptance into the 2025 NYO2 (National Youth Orchestra 2)!

We are incredibly proud of Arsheya, a 15-year-old sophomore violist who has been a devoted student of Ms. Amy Chang at the William Pu Music Academy since 4th grade. Her impressive journey includes serving as principal viola of the Atlanta Symphony Youth Orchestra (ASYO), an assistant principal viola of Emory Youth Symphony Orchestra (EYSO), and top positions in the Georgia Music Educators Association (GMEA) All-State Orchestras.

Being selected as one of only 12 violists in the nation for the 2025 NYO2 season is a truly outstanding achievement. Arsheya will join the country’s most talented young musicians to perform at Carnegie Hall in New York and Usher Hall in Edinburgh, Scotland, marking NYO2’s European debut at the Edinburgh International Festival. Under the baton of Rafael Payare, alongside world-renowned cellist Alisa Weilerstein, Arsheya will take part in an unforgettable musical experience, including collaborations with young Scottish musicians in summer 2025.

A huge bravo to Arsheya on this incredible achievement! A heartfelt congratulations as well to her teacher, Ms. Amy Chang, for her outstanding teaching, guidance, and dedication. We can’t wait to see Arsheya shine on these world-class stages—congratulations!! 🎉🎻👍🏻🎶
