Amanda Kim has more than 20 years of experience in working with children of all ages and adults with music, and in different capacities. Her private piano lessons follow the Alfred Piano Method, Piano Adventures, and uses the playing techniques of the Suzuki, Hanon, and Czerny methods. Ms. Kim is also a lyric soprano whose passion is an inspired mix of different genres. Her passion is to sing from her heart and soul, especially in the classical and romantic styles as well as with contemporary music.
Amanda also uses her passion for music to motivate and coordinate classes to meet students’ needs and goals with her talent and love for education. Her voice lessons encourage students to develop a healthy voice over time with a flexible mix of appropriate vocal practice and technique, as well as their study desires. Amanda’s training includes a Bachelor of Music degree from Shorter University and a Master of Music degree in Music Performance from The Boston Conservatory. This degree included extensive research on both vocal technique and piano techniques, and she is now pursuing her doctoral degree in music performance from Arizona State University.
