Barbaraann Bongiovanni, originally from Rochester, New York, is a clarinet teacher and a clarinetist/bass clarinetist in Marietta, Georgia. She has a Masters in Music from Bowling Green University (OH) and a Bachelor of Music from DePaul University (IL) where she studied with J. Lawrie Bloom from the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. She later studied abroad at the Bern Conservatory of Music in Switzerland. Barbaraann currently teaches at Atlanta International School as well as privately in her home in Marietta. She has performed in various orchestras, and chamber groups in Chicago, Illinois, Arizona, Ohio, and the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra in Rochester, New York.
Currently, she performs with the Alpharetta Symphony, Alpharetta Chamber Orchestra, DeKalb Symphony Orchestra, Georgia Philharmonic, and Titan Winds Quintet. Barbaraann serves on the Board of Directors with the Georgia Philharmonic and is the Education Director of the Alpharetta Symphony Orchestra. In her spare time, she enjoys puzzles, crafts, and reading. Barbaraann looks forward to getting to know you and making clarinet FUN!
