Dr. Wooyoung Kwon has been teaching piano & composition at Agnes Scott College since 2002 as an Artist Affiliate. At Agnes Scott, she is the collaborative pianist for the Collegiate Chorale and accompanying vocal & instrumental students. She has been the collaborative pianist for the Choral Guild of Atlanta since 2003 which is the oldest community chorus in Atlanta and has been serving as an organist & pianis at churches in Atlanta. She has given recitals both as a soloist and as a collaborative pianist in the US and Europe.
Dr. Kwon received her Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Piano Performance with a minor in Organ Performance from the Hugh Hodgson School of Music at the University of Georgia. She graduated from Seoul Arts High School and studied at Ewha Woman’s University. Dr. Kwon received the John Henry Dorminy Piano Scholarship and the University of Georgia School of Music Concerto Competition Award.
