Dr. Yuliya Kim is a cello educator who specializes in working with children. She recently became certified for Book 1 of the Suzuki Method and has taught for the last ten years at various schools in Houston, TX; Lansing, MI; and Boca Raton, FL. Prior to moving to Atlanta, she was a Section Cello member for the Lansing Symphony Orchestra and Michigan Opera Theatre.
Dr. Kim also served as a cello faculty member of the Flint School of the Performing Arts where her students were regular scholarship winners. Dr. Kim earned her Doctor of Musical Arts degree from Michigan State University in 2020 where she was a student of Suren Bagratuni. She previously completed degrees at Lynn University in Boca Raton, Florida and at the State Conservatory of Uzbekistan in her home country.
