The Atlanta Festival Academy a sister organization to the William Pu Music Academy, offers three distinct youth ensembles designed for students seeking to enhance their musical skills. The Atlanta Festival Chamber Orchestra, Atlanta Festival Symphony Orchestra, and Atlanta Virtuosi provide young musicians with a chance to delve into classical chamber and symphonic orchestra repertoires during the Fall and Spring semesters. Over two 10-week periods, at the end of each semester, these ensembles showcase their dedication and talent in a series of concerts.
Open to all students in the Metro Atlanta area, our programs hold rehearsals and performances in North Fulton County. Admission is through audition, ensuring a high level of musical excellence and commitment. Join us to be part of an enriching musical journey.
The Atlanta Festival Chamber Orchestra, Jeremy Woolstenhulme, conductor of the Atlanta Festival Chamber Orchestra offers young string players an early opportunity to perform in a fun ensemble with their peers while exploring the rich and challenging literature of string ensemble repertoire. Acceptance into the orchestra is by audition, and the general age range will be 1st grade thru 8th grade.
The Atlanta Festival Symphony Orchestra is conducted by Jeremy Woolstenhulme. The AFSO offers experienced string, wind, brass, and percussion players the opportunity to explore the rich and challenging literature of full orchestra repertoire. Acceptance into the orchestra is by audition, and the general age range will be 7th grade thru 12th grade.
The Atlanta Festival Virtuosi is conducted by William Pu, offers high-level string players the opportunity to perform exquisite string ensemble repertoire full of lush melodies and vigorous technical passages.
